With the merge cell option, we can make many cells one. I can simply say that we merge many cells to make one. Mostly people merge the cells to write the title of the workbook. People also merge cells when there is not enough space in a normal size cell. Merging cell is different from expanding the cell from the bottom or from the right. There are different kind of merges like merge cells, merge across, merge and center. The following picture is a simple example of merging cell.

Wrap text

Whenever you want to place more words in a cell and you do not want to expand the cell from the right you can use the wrap text option. In Excel after typing something when we tap on Enter then it will move to the next cell but if you have written something in Microsoft Word after pressing (Enter), it will move to the next line. Wrap text is same like that. Look at the following picture for more clarification.
